Where We Eat: Gelupo & Sundae

Searching for “ice cream” on my phone recently confirmed what I already suspected... a serious sweet tooth! But there are few things more enjoyable than ice cream on a hot day, and we’ve had plenty of both recently!
A favourite ritual in the summer months is a stop at Gelupo in Soho. Any trip into town that finishes with a cone for the walk back to the station is a good day in our book. Pictured above is one of the best I’ve ever had: their iconic Rice Pudding & Jam!
If you know the joy of cold, creamy rice pudding (straight from the tin, ideally), then imagine it churned into ice cream with a swirl of jam running through it! Honestly... so good!
Closer to home, Sundae in Brockley has rightly been getting some attention — recently named by The Times as one of the 41 Best Places for Ice Cream in the UK. We couldn’t be happier for them!
If you haven’t been yet, go! The flavours change regularly and everything we’ve tried has been outstanding. I’ve also worked out that on a half-hour break from Wilson’s, you can just about get there and back while devouring a two-scoop cone…pistachio and mint choc chip, since you asked!
