The social media savvy among you might have spotted that we got a shout-out on Top Jaw a while back... huge thanks to Joseph Quinn for the mention, which brought a fair few new Instagram followers our way, and maybe even a couple of bookings!
For those not familiar, Top Jaw is an app and YouTube channel curating the best places to eat and drink around the UK and beyond. They've become massive on Instagram for their short, snappy pop quizzes with celebrities, chefs, and legends of the restaurant world about the best (and worst) spots to eat and drink.
When asked to name the "Worst tourist trap in London?" Joseph answered, "Shoreditch" — which we very much enjoyed!
Meanwhile, Jackson Boxer has just thrown his hat into the Best Burger in London ring with the one he’s serving at his new restaurant, Dove, in Notting Hill. It’s a 50-day aged Herefordshire beef burger with gorgonzola and caramelised onions on a potato bun. Sounds great, but be warned — they only make 10 a day and it’s first come, first served.
Controversially, we tend to believe that the best burger in the world is still just a burger...so rather than trekking all the way across London, treat yourself to an excellent one much closer to home at Mother Flipper in Brockley and bank the three hours saved on travelling to Notting Hill and back!
Even better, head to Brockley Market on a Saturday morning and grab a Mother Flipper breakfast muffin with extra potato rosti, which might actually be the best breakfast muffin in London!
