Where We Eat: Café Francois & Elliott’s

We all checked out Café François recently, and it was…fine!
We enjoyed our steak frites, and Henry gave the famous foie gras muffin a try—"a fat sandwich" according to him (definitely only for foie gras fans). While Café François was lovely, we prefer the original Maison François in St. James, where steak tartare is prepared tableside on a trolley and you can get a full slice of pâté en croûte instead of the half-slice on offer in London Bridge
So, instead of yet another steak frites pic, here’s a snap of the Taleggio, Brown Butter & Sage Pizzetta from Elliot’s (also in London Bridge). I (Joel) have eaten a couple of dozen of these over the years and it's no exaggeration to say that it's one of my favourite dishes in London
When times are difficult we seek out the familiar and the comforting...so a pizza with butter & cheese alongside a glass of red wine very much ticks all the boxes for a day off!
